For many years, many people in Bulgaria have believed that the country's salvation would come from outside, relying on the European Union, the United States, or even China. However, this hope is being questioned, emphasizing that even Turkey is not a solution, as the situation there is similar to that in Bulgaria. Ivelin Mihaylov and his party "Velichie" express a strong conviction that salvation will not magically come from abroad. According to them, the only chance for Bulgaria is to build its own economic, organizational, and power models.
The Bulgarian Political Scene: Division and Challenges
Lack of Will for Good Governance
Thirty-five years of experience show that no one in politics has the desire for the state to be governed well for the people. Instead, everyone seeks personal gain, without hesitation to live abroad if they are not connected to their homeland and people. This leads to the possibility of "selling" the people and the state for personal benefit. People in politics have managed to get elected, sometimes through fraud, sometimes through coercion, while those who wanted something different did not want it strongly enough – only enough to write about it online.
Opposition and the Inability to Cooperate
The "Velichie" party has attempted to cooperate with other opposition forces but has faced significant difficulties. Cooperation with is impossible, as there are deliberate attempts from their side to obstruct through insults and targeted opposition. Nevertheless, "Velichie" has supported protests organized by "Vazrazhdane," including the upcoming one on the 13th. In contrast, with "We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria", there is some dialogue and relative cooperation on specific ideas, such as no-confidence votes. With BSP and ITN, it is clear that working together is impossible, which exhausts the opposition options. Ultimately, "Velichie" aims to get things done, not merely accumulate political dividends.
Political Talk vs. Real Action
Ivelin Mihaylov describes political talk as general, saying nothing concrete, aimed at winning the masses. Although he considers politics "a disgusting thing," he has decided to give his all to achieve progress. The party was compelled to enter politics to solve problems that no one else could, such as the case with wind turbines.
International Relations and Obstacles
Spreading Information About Bulgaria
"Velichie" realized that information about Bulgaria abroad is lacking and distorted. For this reason, they have undertaken trips to various countries and established contacts with international media and opposition groups. They participated in a protest in Brussels, but Bulgaria's MEPs did not respond. After meetings with Western European activists fighting for a freer Europe, they began to spread information that does not reach official media.
Accusations and Sabotage
In these efforts, "Velichie" constantly encounters defamation and sabotage, mainly spread by "Vazrazhdane". Various international groups have received contradictory information about the party, including accusations of Nazism, Scientology membership, involvement in pyramid schemes, and crimes. One accusation against Alexander Ehrlich was that he supported a "Nazi" party (Alternative for Germany), while Mihaylov himself was labeled a Scientologist and a fraudster without any evidence. These actions aim to break the connections "Velichie" is building abroad, forcing them to constantly explain themselves instead of working.
Relations with Russia
The party sought contacts in Russia as well, sending the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Professor Yuliana Mateeva, to discuss issues such as the Khan Kubrat monument. Despite initial hopes, it turns out that Russia also chooses to work with "obedient people" who serve its interests, such as Kostadinov. The case of the Khan Kubrat monument is telling – despite "Velichie"'s efforts to install it, it was dismantled on the day Professor Mateeva returned, after Kostadinov acted against them. This confirms that Russia, like Western elites, pursues its own interest, not necessarily Bulgaria's.
The Way Forward: Internal Development and Economy
Creating an Economic and Organizational System
Ivelin Mihaylov emphasizes that true respect from foreigners is earned through what is built and achieved. Therefore, the focus is on creating its own economic system, which serves as a foundation for political change. This includes building internal economy and organization, without economic ties to those who support the "pigs" in politics. Vetrino, called "Demopoli" by foreign activists, is an example of a successfully built place that impresses foreigners and leads them to seek information and know-how from "Velichie." This model of development and achievement attracts international partners who are "fighters for freedom" and seek systems independent of large corporations.
Freedom and Values
The "Velichie" party values its ideology and principles, refusing to join European party families if they do not align with their beliefs. They do not seek to "kiss the West's ass" or "quack" like Kostadinov before Russia. Instead, they insist on partnerships that do not harm Bulgarian interests. The only chance for Bulgaria lies in building strong self-sufficient models and opposing corrupt figures.
Conclusion
Ultimately, Bulgaria's salvation will not come from outside, as many have thought. It will result from internal economic and organizational efforts, supported by strong values and genuine struggle. The "Naroden" app is a tool for spreading real news and connecting people within this internal economic system.
