Yordan Mitsikulev reports live from a protest in front of the Sofia Bar Association (Софийска адвокатска колегия). Citizens gather at this location to defend justice and support Kiro Breika against systemic lawlessness. Participants in the demonstration describe the Sofia Bar Association as a corrupt structure functioning as an organized criminal group. They claim that this institution sustains “fraudulent lawyers” and harms ordinary people in Bulgaria.
The Sofia Bar Association as a Source of Widespread Corruption
Yordan Mitsikulev states that ninety-five percent of corruption in the justice system begins precisely from the Sofia Bar Association building. He calls lawyers “the most corrupt sellouts” in the country. According to him, many legal professionals apply criminal schemes against their own clients. A lawyer takes a fee of around one or two thousand leva from their client. Then the same lawyer approaches the opposing party in the case and demands twenty thousand leva. He does this to sabotage the case and bury it completely. Protesters point out that the Sofia Bar Association rewards such individuals with titles like “Lawyer of the Year.” They describe members of the association as “vultures” and “bounty hunters” who grow rich at the expense of the people.
The Case of Kiro Breika and Lawyer Rastashki
The main reason for the protest is the defense of Kiro Breika, whom participants describe as an ordinary man from the people. Lawyer Rastashki is conducting legal cases against him and demanding massive asset freezes. Citizens report that Rastashki is seeking a seizure of three hundred thousand leva over alleged defamation. This is done through the legal procedure of “preliminary securing” before the court has issued a ruling. Protesters consider this madness and a tool for completely crushing an individual. They claim that Rastashki is “fraudster number one” and acts like a “jackal.” According to testimonies from the protest, Rastashki’s mother is also involved in property fraud related to municipal housing. His son allegedly uses EU funds through fictitious companies for the construction of residential buildings.
Financial Repression and Administrative Pressure
The state and the legal profession impose financial terror on independent entrepreneurs. One of the protesters recounts how he worked for ten years without rest to build his business. He shut down his enterprise due to the actions of “trash” and “parasites” within the system. Lawyers use every comma in the law to extort money from people. Justice in Bulgaria does not consider the substance of problems, but only financial gain. Cases often last more than ten years, which constitutes a “denial of justice.” Citizens receive refusals to initiate pre-trial proceedings even in cases of real crimes. At the same time, the prosecution launches checks against ordinary people for minor offenses. The system blocks citizens’ accounts even for freely expressing their opinions.
Political Connections and Fraud Involving MECH
Protesters reveal controversial facts regarding the registration of the MECH party (МЕЧ) and its leader Radostin Vasilev. Maria Ilieva submits a report claiming that Radostin Vasilev falsified documents for the party. He signed the registration papers personally in Bulgaria while physically being in Dubai. Participants call this “teleportation” of signatures and “the long arm of fraud.” The leader of MECH allegedly never attended lectures as a student and passed his exams through deception. The MECH party maintains close ties with the economic groupings of Delyan Peevski. The MECH coordinator for Pazardzhik, known as Krasyo Kalta, is related to a secretary of Delyan Peevski. The organization receives support from the Mondezhki family, who are said to control the property mafia in the regions of Troyan, Pleven, and Lovech.
Psychological Harassment and Insults by Authorities
Politicians in Bulgaria systematically insult protesting citizens. Radostin Vasilev calls people in the streets “idiots.” Previously, representatives of other parties such as Bayram Bayram used the word “scum” for the public. Authorities label supporters of the Velichie party as “mentally ill.” Citizens reject these labels and state that they are normal people who want to reclaim their country. They emphasize that the inner corruption of politicians is visible in their faces. Protest participants call for mass voting in the upcoming elections with ballot number fourteen. They believe that only full unity will remove criminal structures from governance.
Struggle for Real Justice and Change
Protesters express readiness to organize dozens more demonstrations until success is achieved. They insist on removing loopholes in laws that serve “crooks” and fraudsters. Bulgaria needs substantive justice, not corrupt judges and lawyers. Citizens feel threatened in their own country due to the lack of rule of law. They see the Velichie party as a defender of justice. The unity against “evil” in the face of the Sofia Bar Association and the political mafia continues to grow. People want to stop the draining of municipal funds and properties by party officials. All participants are adamant that they will not take a single step back in the fight for freedom. They expect real action from the prosecution on the submitted reports of falsification. The ultimate goal is the establishment of a rule-of-law state where laws apply equally to everyone.
