Ivelin Mihaylov: Oligarchic Deals Behind the Caretaker Cabinet, Prokopiev’s Criminal Networks, and a Call for Full Electoral Mobilization

Oligarchic Influence on the Caretaker Government

Ivelin Mihaylov expresses strong disappointment with the caretaker government of Andrey Gyurov. He claims that businessmen and oligarchic circles have agreed on which individuals should occupy ministerial positions. Politicians are carrying out targeted actions against Delyan Peevski, while at the same time restoring the positions of Boyko Borisov and Ivo Prokopiev. The government is operating under the strong influence of Borisov and Prokopiev. Mihaylov considers Borisov, Peevski, and Prokopiev equally harmful to the state. The three figures bear direct responsibility for the high prices of electricity and food products in the country.

Criminal Activities and Control over Finances

Mihaylov describes Ivo Prokopiev as a criminal who controls the financial system in Bulgaria and the private pension funds. The leader of the “Velichie” party plans to initiate a full audit of these funds to expose large-scale financial theft. Prokopiev also oversees projects for the construction of solar panels and wind turbines. Mihaylov accuses Prokopiev and former BSP MP Georgi Andreev of organizing a criminal group in 2020 together with a Varna-based individual with a criminal background for the purpose of extortion.

Corruption and Threats from Associated Individuals

Mihaylov lists specific figures whom he claims are involved in corrupt practices and repression:

• Nadezhda Neynski is described as a key participant in corruption during the period of Ivan Kostov’s government. She allegedly acquired luxury hotels in Golden Sands through theft from the state, despite having no entrepreneurial experience.
• Dimitar Enchev is said to act under Prokopiev’s protection and to represent a company building wind turbines from Shumen to Kaliakra. According to Mihaylov, Enchev financed vote-buying in local elections in Provadia, Valchi Dol, and Vetreno. He is also alleged to maintain connections with individuals who issued threats of physical violence against Mihaylov’s wife in 2023. Mihaylov further claims that Enchev organized the smear campaign against “Historical Park” together with Simon Milkov.
• Ivan Hristanov is accused of spreading false information online and demonstrating complete economic illiteracy. Mihaylov claims that Hristanov uses attacks against him for personal publicity instead of addressing real problems in agriculture.

Electoral Manipulations and Protection of the Vote

Mihaylov states that the new government guarantees the conduct of unfair elections. Sociological agencies and political figures such as Nikolay Barekov are allegedly working deliberately against the “Velichie” party to remove the organization from political life. The parties PP-DB and “Vazrazhdane” are described as not performing real work for citizens but instead serving the interests of Borisov, Prokopiev, and oligarchic circles. Mihaylov calls on his supporters for full mobilization through the following actions:

1. Supporters should ensure presence in the sectional election commissions.
2. Poll watchers will protect the election results from manipulation.
3. People should actively spread information to counter the negative and dirty campaign.
