How the “Mafia Party” Operates: Institutional Pressure and Media Propaganda – Ivеlin Mihaylov

In a video for “Free Voice” (Свободен глас), Ivelin Mihaylov (Ивелин Михайлов) explains the mechanism by which the “Mafia Party” (партия „Мафия“) operates, which includes coordinated institutional pressure through the Commission for Counteracting Corruption (КПК), the police, and the National Revenue Agency (НАП), followed by synchronized media attacks from outlets linked to Prokopiev, Borissov, and Peevski.

“How does the ‘Mafia Party’ work? First come the Commission for Counteracting Corruption (КПК), the gendarmerie, and the police. They confiscate your phone, confiscate your computer, take all your documents, and block your accounts. They do not allow you to sell anything; you have no ability to work. At some point, they send you a letter from the National Revenue Agency (НАП). Or they try to reach you on the phone they have taken from you, or they send you an email to the computer they have also taken from you.

Media Attack

Then “BIRD” (Бърд) comes out—note, the media outlet of Ivo Prokopiev (Иво Прокопиев)—and they say: ‘Evelin Mihaylov’s wife is hiding from the National Revenue Agency (НАП). She has been put on a wanted list.’ Immediately, the media linked to Borissov (Борисов) and Peevski (Пеевски), such as “Novini.bg” (Новини БГ) and others like it, begin to spread this news.

Inability to Defend Oneself

How can you answer when you have no phone or SIM card because they took them from you? How can you open your mail when they have taken your computer? How can you pay for anything or even move at all when they have blocked your accounts and properties and you cannot sell anything? This is how the mafia works. But more importantly— you fall for their media and think that Prokopiev, Borissov, and Peevski are separate. No, they are one.”
