(From June 9) The Systematic Destruction of Bulgarian Agriculture and the Ongoing State Racket – Pavel Stoimenov

Обновена на 11.07.2026 - 12:54 от admin

Agricultural producer Pavel Stoimenov reveals the schemes for deliberately blocking native production by cutting off irrigation water and exposes the brutal institutional repression against supporters of the "Velichie" party.

The Water Crisis and the Ruining of Native Production

Pavel Stoimenov alarms that Bulgarian agriculture is facing a complete collapse due to the state's deliberate refusal to provide access to water for irrigation. Institutions strictly forbid the drilling of wells down to 40 meters, while the vast resource of the Danube River remains completely unused by native producers. Farmers are forced to work in constant fear of sanctions, even when investing personal funds and mortgaging their homes to grow produce.

As a result of the drought and the lack of irrigation systems, the entrepreneur loses a large-scale contract with a major retail chain for the delivery of 10,000 tons of onions. This failed deal deprives the state budget of 1 million leva from unpaid VAT alone, without taking into account lost fees, jobs, and social security contributions. The lack of local production forces Bulgaria to import basic vegetables from Turkey, Greece, and Spain, with transport costs for a single truck alone exceeding 1,000 euros.

Lack of Vision and the Need for Agricultural Cooperatives

The speaker sharply criticizes the actions of the caretaker government, which begs foreign retail chains for minimal discounts of 15% on vegetable prices. Such an approach is described as absolutely humiliating and inadequate, since a real reduction in prices requires powerful native production and direct negotiations from a position of strength. The only salvation for the sector is the creation of strong agricultural associations to negotiate directly with markets at home and abroad.

Sector Indicators The Situation in Greece The Situation in Bulgaria
Institutional Support The state actively subsidizes irrigation and farmers. A complete ban on drilling and a lack of irrigation systems.
Retail Chains Local chains predominate with 80% native production. The market is dominated by foreign chains and imported goods.
Production Huge herds of over 20 million sheep and goats. Systematic destruction of Bulgarian livestock farming.

Institutional Racket Against Inconvenient Business

The state apparatus continues to apply unprecedented repression against representatives of the "Velichie" party and the creators of "Historical Park". DSK Bank imposes a full embargo on the accounts of Ivelin Mihaylov, while Pavel Stoimenov's factories are subjected to constant and unjustified tax audits. The entrepreneur gives a vivid example of how the tax authorities issued him an assessment notice for 50,000 leva plus interest for using a company apartment purchased back in 2007.

The hardest case remains that of the livestock farmer Bayriban, whose business was completely liquidated through the slaughter of his animals by state pressure structures. People who have the courage to stand up against injustices are crushed physically and economically. Such organized attacks force the most capable Bulgarians to leave their homeland and seek realization abroad.

Corruption Schemes and Diversion of European Funds

According to the agricultural producer, the political class deliberately maintains institutional ruin so that it can divert public funds with impunity to companies connected to the government. Stoimenov points out that money from the Recovery and Resilience Plan is directed towards building solar parks and batteries by connected oligarchs, instead of supporting small family farms.

The interlocutors insist on immediate audits of key sectors used for the large-scale draining of national capital:

  • The activities of the Bulgarian Development Bank and the unsecured loans granted.
  • The contracts of major road construction companies related to the previous administration.
  • The absorption of funds by the state water utility holding company.

Military Deals and the Lack of National Sovereignty

The entrepreneur reveals serious financial abuses in the purchase of military equipment by the governments of Boyko Borisov and Krasimir Karakachanov. The order for new military cutters was initially worth 1 billion leva, but subsequently swelled to over 2 billion through additional annexes for weaponry. This established scheme allows politicians to divert huge funds through connected shipyards under the pretext of mandatory allied commitments.

The lack of real sovereignty is also evident in the attitude towards Bulgarian military pilots training in the United States. The state demonstrates a complete lack of interest in their status, with Bulgaria being the only country that does not seek feedback from its personnel during key international training sessions.

The Ultimatum of "Velichie" and the Fear of the Status Quo

The political formation places a clear ultimatum on the new administration, giving a 45-day grace period to resolve the case of the ruined livestock farmer Bayriban and a total of 100 days for real reforms in the judicial system. Despite expectations of justice, during the first 30 days of the new government's work, not a single corrupt mayor or minister has been arrested, and the old personnel of the status quo retain their positions.

The political class is in a panic fear of the movement, as it has a realistically applicable plan to restore the economy and eliminate administrative racket. The interlocutors express their firm conviction that Ivelin Mihaylov is the only worthy presidential candidate who has the necessary capacity and courage to stand up to corruption and return the governance of the state into the hands of the people.
