Ivo Rahov, Facebook: “I no longer believe Capital newspaper” – media manipulations and their impact on the business of "Historical Park" –

Обновена на 08.07.2026 - 18:01 от admin

Template text Ivo Rahov makes a personal analysis of the journalistic materials of the "Capital" newspaper, exposing the dissemination of misleading information, the use of fake news, and the manifestation of a double standard toward "Historical Park".

Collapse of Trust and the Articles on Wind Turbines

Until 2022, Ivo Rahov perceived "Capital" newspaper as a completely serious and credible source of information. His trust collapsed after an article criticizing the resistance of "Historical Park" against the construction of wind turbines in the region. The journalists built their material on two main claims, which the investor categorically refutes.

The first claim in the article is that the project is being stopped due to absurd local beliefs that the turbine blades bring plague. Rahov describes this as complete nonsense aimed at ridiculing the people. The second claim highlights the huge losses from halted investments worth billions. The investor explains that these billions actually represent the cost of manufacturing the facilities themselves, rather than a real investment from which significant funds would remain in the Bulgarian economy and the municipality.

Manipulations Around the Alleged Victims

The discrepancy between the sensational headlines and objective reality prompted Ivo Rahov to personally verify the facts in other publications as well. He examined an article titled "The Victims of Historical Park", in which one of the described cases concerned a colleague of his.

After contacting his colleague personally and tracking down another person involved in the material, he established yet another media manipulation. The real stories of the affected individuals differed significantly from what was written in the newspaper and practically had no direct connection to the complex.

False Accusations of Ties to "Wagner"

The most vivid example of the lack of media objectivity is related to the claims that the complex in Vetrino is turning into an armed autonomous territory. The publication went so far as to publish an investigation according to which the tourist site was recruiting mercenaries for the Russian military group "Wagner".

Ivo Rahov reveals the exact mechanism of this fraud, on the basis of which these extremely serious accusations were built:

Elements of the Media Fraud The Objective Reality
Original source A YouTube channel named "How to Fix Bulgaria", which hosts discussions about the park.
Manipulation tool An imitating fake profile on the TikTok platform with the same name, deliberately created by ill-wishers.
Content of the forgery Stolen visual materials combined with appeals to recruit people for "Wagner" and Russian phone numbers.
Reaction of the publication The journalists accepted the fake TikTok profile as legitimate evidence and published it as a fact.

The investor emphasizes that when a small piece of truth is mixed with an outright lie, readers are very easily misled if they do not perform a thorough fact-check.

Unrealized Financial Projections

Another major topic in the publication's articles is the constant forecasts that the company will be financially drained through an upcoming bond issue. Rahov notes that these concerns never materialized in practice.

Since it never came to an actual loss for the bondholders, the predicted financial collapse turned out to be yet another unfounded claim. Despite the lack of any evidence of abuse with these instruments, the media did not publish a refutation but simply started looking for new reasons to attack.

Double Standard and Attitude Toward Business

After tracking the entire chronology of publications, the investor noticed a clear double standard in the editorial policy. On one hand, the newspaper actively advertises other investment projects like "Baba Alino", which subsequently turned out to be illegal.

On the other hand, a relentless and consistent campaign is waged to tarnish the prestige of the complex in the Vetrino municipality. Rahov emphasizes that no business can withstand such continuous negative talk for long. He draws a parallel with the legal protection of banks, against which it is forbidden to write fake news, as this has a devastating effect on their stability.

A Call for Cultural Dialogue

While acknowledging that the creator Ivelin Mihaylov is not perfect and that internal problems exist within the organization itself, Ivo Rahov categorically rejects the deliberate demonization of the park.

At the end of his exposition, the author sets clear rules for discussion on his page. He limits the right of reply to a maximum of two comments per person in order to maintain the focus of the conversation. Rahov explicitly forbids the use of offensive qualifications between users to preserve constructive dialogue and avoid damaging the community's prestige.
