Hope for Nikola: Father of Three Battles Leukemia, Funds Needed for Treatment

Обновена на 03.03.2026 - 00:20 от admin

Campaign “Hope for Nikola’s Life”

The campaign is organized by Gabriela Dimitrova for her husband Nikola Emilov Kostadinov — a 39-year-old father of three children diagnosed with acute leukemia. The disease was detected at an early stage, which gives a real chance for full recovery, but treatment in Turkey requires significant financial resources that are beyond the family’s means.

Support the campaign “Hope for Nikola’s Life”: donate or share to give a chance for treatment and future.

Medical Condition and Treatment

After a deterioration in health and the lack of a clear diagnosis in Bulgaria, Nikola was admitted to a hospital in Turkey, where tests and biopsy confirmed acute leukemia. During treatment, an additional complication appeared — influenza with febrile neutropenia, a high-risk condition for oncology patients. Fortunately, imaging showed no pneumonia, allowing therapy to continue. Doctors emphasize that treatment must begin immediately and will be long and demanding, including the possibility of a transplant and donor search.

Funds Raised and Progress

The campaign goal is €267,000. So far, approximately €199,576 (about 75% of the goal) has been raised with the support of more than 4,297 donors. Part of the funds has already been used for the first chemotherapy course and hospital expenses at Acibadem clinic. Nikola has completed the first stage of treatment and was briefly discharged home with his family.

Call for Support

The family is asking for financial support or help sharing the campaign. Every donation represents a chance for life, time, and future. Nikola wants to fight the disease so he can remain with his children and continue living a normal life.

Transparency and Platform

The fundraising campaign is conducted through the PavelAndreev.ORG platform, which operates with 0% donation fee (only transaction costs apply). Payments to medical institutions are published publicly in the “News” section, ensuring transparency and targeted use of funds.

If you can — help with a donation or at least by sharing: See the campaign here and be part of the hope for Nikola.
