We present the full interview with Ivelin Mihaylov (Ивелин Михайлов) for the Aria TV (Ария ТВ) channel.
Kristiyan Koev (Кристиян Коев): Hello, friends and viewers of the program “Yadro” (Ядро) with me, Kristiyan Koev, on Aria TV (Ария ТВ). As promised—and Aria TV always keeps its promises—we are at the Historical Park (Исторически парк) with Ivelin Mihaylov (Ивелин Михайлов). He kept his word and invited us. I want to clarify—at his own expense—so that we could “provoke” a little inside the park.
You know very well that we at Aria TV (Ария ТВ), all the hosts, deliberately avoided commenting on what the Historical Park (Исторически парк) is. We constantly hear all kinds of claims—pyramids, schemes, accusations that there is nothing there. We held back because we value truth, and without seeing something with our own eyes, we do not judge. What we saw here is something unique. I want to say this clearly and unequivocally to all critics: we have absolutely no political affiliations with any party in Bulgaria. This is about one simple thing—a business that is beneficial for Bulgaria.
What has been created here is enormous—something that truly costs many millions. Not because we heard it from people from “Velichie” (Величие), but because we saw it ourselves. I honestly cannot comprehend what kind of country we live in. It feels like a criminal state, because stopping something like this is a crime in itself. The state acting as an enemy of its own people—of Bulgarians who want to build and create. I say this as someone who has achieved something in business, albeit insignificant compared to what I saw today.
Here, at the Historical Park (Исторически парк), we decided to record an episode of “Yadro” (Ядро) because I am outraged to the core. What politicians, what state, and what grotesque figures are ruling! After what I saw, I am ashamed of those who have occupied this country.
Attacks against the park and the absence of justice
Kristiyan Koev (Кристиян Коев): We heard many things about you and realized they were complete lies. We do not want to promote other parties; they do not interest us. We want to talk about the situation in Bulgaria. Please explain in simple terms what is happening with the Historical Park (Исторически парк). Why was it stopped? What happened, when, and why? For me, this is incomprehensible.
Ivelin Mihaylov (Ивелин Михайлов): I am glad you came, and I thank you for making the effort to see it with your own eyes. Bulgaria is not a large country. Many people speak online about what is good and what is not, but they refuse to go and see for themselves whether they are being manipulated. We do not live well in Bulgaria—not because we lack potential. Bulgarians are people with soul. We have unique nature, location, and a great history. It is one thing to say, “We come from the land of Orpheus, the originator of music,” and another to say you come from Antarctica. Bulgaria has extraordinary potential, yet we live poorly—because of governance.
I am not a typical party politician. I entered politics out of necessity. Everything I had built and believed in turned out to be fake—not my work, but the state itself. I studied business administration, law, and the Constitution. I believed that if I followed the rules, I would compete only on the market. Instead, the state today behaves toward entrepreneurs like Romania during the Balkan War—attacking from behind.
My problems with the Historical Park (Исторически парк) began in 2019. Back then, the attacks were mild—media pressure, institutional inspections conducted within the law. But in 2023, something unimaginable happened. It is as if officials from the Anti-Corruption Commission (Комисия за противодействие на корупцията – КОНПИ) suddenly arrest you, while official media accuse you of crimes you have nothing to do with. You remain detained for years, your life passes, your skills erode, and your business is destroyed.
The pressure intensified after 2022, when plans emerged to build a wind turbine park next to us. Fifteen years of continuous work were invested here. Wind turbines can be placed anywhere, but fifteen years of focused effort cannot be recreated. That is exactly what they began to destroy through the media and pseudo-journalists.
The business model: Pyramid or logical investment?
Kristiyan Koev (Кристиян Коев): It is constantly claimed that this is a scheme—that it is a pyramid scheme. I saw a park that represents the entire history of Bulgaria—Thracians, Slavs, everything. I asked about the houses because people talk about a scheme. It was explained simply: you build a house, someone buys it, and due to the infrastructure and management, 20% of rental income remains with the park.
If this is a pyramid scheme, then all golf courses should be shut down, because they operate on the same principle. Airbnb works on subleasing as well. Where exactly is the scheme?
Ivelin Mihaylov (Ивелин Михайлов): There is no scheme. This is a commercial model that exists everywhere. A golf course has grass and buildings; here, we have history and culture.
Kristiyan Koev (Кристиян Коев): Disneyland is an attraction made of plastic where people spend money on entertainment—and it is legal and expensive. Here, children can learn and experience history firsthand. Why is Bulgarian history being suppressed?
Ivelin Mihaylov (Ивелин Михайлов): Western society built the myth that it inherited the Western Roman Empire, even though it was destroyed by the same tribes making that claim. Bulgarian history preserves the roots of Slavic culture, spirituality, and literacy. If this were acknowledged, Western cultural dominance would diminish. Culture unites people and makes them resilient. I created the Historical Park (Исторически парк) to help reconnect a fragmented society.
Infrastructure and regional development
Ivelin Mihaylov (Ивелин Михайлов): What you see as a park is only a small part. We have developed twelve villages, purchased regulated land, restored churches, homes, and infrastructure. Without a world-class product, there can be no development.
When you visit Vienna or Italy, you see consistent architecture and order. In Bulgaria, you see ruins and neglect. To change this, I must organize entire settlements because the state has no coherent policy. Meanwhile, I create value exceeding one billion leva for municipalities and citizens. Property prices rise. People benefit. When a place becomes beautiful, foreigners come and spend their money.
Kristiyan Koev (Кристиян Коев): I saw ambulances, fire trucks, tourist buses, golf carts, off-road vehicles, proper parking infrastructure. I sincerely hope Boyko Borisov (Бойко Борисов) comes to see how parking lots should be built so they do not flood after a light rain.
Political pressure and mafia-style tactics
Kristiyan Koev (Кристиян Коев): Why is the government so aggressive toward you? The pressure looks criminal and mafia-like.
Ivelin Mihaylov (Ивелин Михайлов): I am one of the few people who proved that things can actually work in Bulgaria. This has happened to many others—large businesses seized through pressure and arrests. They take businesses only to destroy them.
In 2023, I met with Boyko Borisov (Бойко Борисов). His former ministers—Tomislav Donchev (Томислав Дончев), Toma Bikov (Тома Биков), Mladen Marinov (Младен Маринов), among others—were present. They had praised the park before. Then suddenly, they turned against it. First admiration, then institutional pressure until submission.
The idea of an “Economy of Resistance”
Kristiyan Koev (Кристиян Коев): Business owners who want normality must support one another. Let us unite—an economy of resistance. Support those under pressure and independent media.
Ivelin Mihaylov (Ивелин Михайлов): We must remove this government and bring in new actors who respect basic rules. Capable people must be allowed to lead. We are ready to govern to change key sectors—agriculture, transport, tourism.
Today, Bulgarian tourism is being destroyed while foreign tourism is promoted. Borisov (Бойко Борисов) and Peevski (Делян Пеевски) loot farmers and producers, securing markets for their own companies and crushing competition.
Ivelin Mihaylov (Ивелин Михайлов): Come and see the Historical Park (Исторически парк) yourselves. Limit vote-buying. Support those who create value. This is how we rebuild society.
Kristiyan Koev (Кристиян Коев): Thank you. Free the state. Help one another. This is the economy of resistance.
